Scheduled to commence construction in 2025, this Caltrans improvement project plans to upgrade St. Charles / Hwy. 49 from Mountain Ranch Rd. to Gold Oak Rd. Project goals include slowing traffic through San Andreas, correcting the crown in the roadway, improving sidewalks for pedestrians, increasing crosswalk safety, adding landscaping for beautification and shade, and adding bike lanes. Caltrans has assured SAM that all businesses will be able to operate and have access during construction and every effort will be made to ease the traffic and parking burdens for merchants and their customers.  We look forward to this new face lift for San Andreas as we continue our efforts to revitalize the downtown area of this great community. San Andreas Parks and Rec has announced the completion of a new playground and pickle ball court at Alex Quinones Community Park in San Andreas.  Visit the park at 990 Park Dr. in San Andreas.  www.sanandreasparks.org
